How does voice capture work?

After adding your photos, you'll land on the voice recording screen. Tap the microphone button to start recording, tap again to stop.

What to say

Talk like you're telling a coworker what happened on the job. You don't need to be formal — the AI understands conversational language. A good voice note covers:

• What the customer called about
• What you found when you arrived
• What you tested or measured
• What you did to fix it (or what you're recommending)

Example: "Got called out for a no-cool. Found the condenser running but the air handler wasn't coming on. Checked the thermostat — it was calling for cool. Traced it to a blown 5-amp fuse on the air handler control board. Replaced the fuse, system came on, verified 18-degree split. Everything's working normal now."

That's all you need. The AI handles the rest.

Minimum and maximum length

• Minimum: 10 seconds. The Generate button won't activate until you've recorded at least 10 seconds.
• Maximum: 5 minutes. Recording stops automatically at 5 minutes.

For most jobs, 30–90 seconds is plenty.

If you're in a loud environment

Tap Type instead at the top of the screen to switch to a text input. Type your notes the same way you'd speak them — no special formatting needed.

Can I re-record?

Yes. After stopping, you can tap the microphone again to record a new note. Your previous recording is replaced.

What happens to my audio?

Your audio file is deleted from our servers immediately after it's transcribed. We never store your recordings — only the text transcript.
