Editing a writeup

Every part of a generated writeup is editable. Changes save immediately — there's no Save button.

Editing equipment fields

Tap any field in the equipment block (Make, Model, Serial) to edit it inline. A text input appears — type the correct value and press Enter or tap elsewhere to save.

Editing the summary (Findings)

Tap Edit next to the Findings label to open a text editor. Make your changes and tap Save. The updated summary is saved to your writeup and will be used the next time you copy it.

Use this to:

• Add something you forgot to mention in your voice note
• Correct a word the AI got wrong
• Adjust the tone or phrasing
• Remove anything that isn't relevant

Can I edit the options?

Option editing isn't available as an inline field. If you need different options, use Regenerate with instructions — for example: "Option B should include replacing the TXV, not just the refrigerant charge." See How to regenerate a writeup.

Do edits affect the copy?

Yes. When you tap Copy Writeup or any of the section copy buttons, the output reflects your latest edits.

Can I undo an edit?

No — edits save immediately and there's no undo. If you make a mistake, just tap Edit again and fix it, or regenerate the writeup from scratch.
